The Border Collie is an amazing breed of dog. If you have the time and dedication to spend time with your dog, insure they get plenty of exercise, and become involved in one or more of the many activities available to you and your dog, then the Border Collie may be just for you. The Border Collie is a task/activity type of dog. They need a “job,” whether it is herding sheep, catching a Frisbee, or running an agility course. If you are looking for a lap dog or a dog that will be content to stay locked up day and night by himself in the back yard, then this breed is not for you.
